I captured this photo over the weekend – a quintessential look at a working Central Virginia farm against a backdrop of early fall color on the mountains. The greater Charlottesville real estate market encompasses properties in some or all of about seven counties including Albemarle (Charlottesville is roughly in the middle of Albemarle County), Greene, Madison, Fluvanna, Orange, Nelson, and Louisa. This photo was taken on Crabtree Falls Highway in Nelson County.

U2 “Claws” it’s way through Scott Stadium. Great concert by U2 here in Charlottesville on Thursday. The weather was perfect – clear with nearly a full moon and the stadium was packed with 50,000+ fans taking it all in. Another great experience for for those who call Charlottesville home!

I captured this photo just after the sun broke above the mountain ridge and began illuminating the landscape. Do you see that structure in front of the distant wood line? Is it a new Charlottesville home or new barn… It’s a new home being built in the South Fork Farms development of Albemarle County.  Another spectacular vision of life in Charlottesville and Albemarle.  And yes, those little black dots are cows grazing!
